Plano, TX (December 16, 2019) – Fortress Solutions celebrated their first annual Founder’s Day on December 12, a tribute to the beginnings of both Fortress Solutions and Restor. They honored those who helped start the companies in 2002 and 1982, respectively, and some of those that they lost along the way, including Phil Cliburn and Glenn Chenier. In an act of unity, Fortress partnered with a charity organization to pay it forward.
This year, Fortress partnered with Together We Rise (TWR), a non-profit dedicated to transforming the way youth navigate through the foster care system in America. Since 2008, TWR has partnered with hundreds of foster agencies, social workers, CASA advocates, and other partners to bring their programs to foster youth across the nation.
Fortress employees across all locations (Plano, TX – Leesburg, FL – Lenexa, KS – Remote employees) decorated and assembled Sweet Cases that will be given to children entering foster care. Sweet Cases (duffel bags) were decorated with inspirational quotes, cute drawings and big dreams and were filled with fun activities, a blanket, teddy bear and basic-need hygiene items.
Brendon Mills, Fortress Solutions CEO stated, ‘What better way to pay our respects than to embark on an act of charity and help children who are entering the foster care system’.
In total, across all employees and locations, over 130 Sweet Cases were packed and will be delivered to local foster agencies. And this is only the beginning – this event embarks on a new yearly tradition for Fortress. Each year Fortress plans to select a charity or charity event to pay forward their good fortune and engage all employees, across all locations.
